The mission of Hanover Charities is to improve the education and health of citizens of Hanover Parish.

Our funds support:

  • Programs that feed school children, the elderly and indigent
  • Facilities, clinics, institutions and projects that provide health care
  • School feeding programs
  • Organizations that promote positive values and education for children
  • Promising students in need of financial aid through the Morris-Watkins Memorial Scholarship

We honor our responsibility and provide appropriate records and ongoing reports documenting donations received, grants awarded and people served. We commit ourselves to honesty in all our relationships and interactions. Through our integrity of our actions, we maintain trust of our community and donors locally and abroad.

2010 FLEMING COLLEGE Visit

FLEMING COLLEGE - CANADA - VISITS MONTEGO BAY AND HANOVER CHARITIES
9 students under the motivation and guidance of Patti Watson (Coordinator, Tourism & Travel & Events Management) visit Montego Bay for a break and decide to combine this trip with community service.

Back home they raised over US$ 700.00 and spent two days of volunteer service with Hanover Charities. One day was spent cooking in the LUCEA MINISTERS FRATERNAL SOUP KITCHEN and the other spending time with basic school students at the HANOVER PARISH LIBRARY. They also brought stationary equipment, games etc to Jamaica and presented those to schools during their visit.
